The work is a blend of home and school settings, providing an opportunity to establish connections with school districts and gain practical experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). As part of the role, you'll actively engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with professionals who share similar goals. We also provide individual and group supervision hours led by experienced mentors committed to supporting your professional development. We also offer a comprehensive Mental Health Training program—a year-long curriculum covering psychopathology and DSM diagnosis, evidence-based treatments, crisis management, and legal/ethical considerations. The Mental Health Training Program commences each school year between August 1st and extends to July 31st with possibility of extension to the following year; Mental Health Associates are expected to participate in the training year in its entirety (the full school year). Mental Health Associates will receive Supervised Professional Experience in accordance with regulations set forth by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
