Community Therapy Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is looking for a qualified Child Development Specialist in Santa Clarita, CA. Under the general supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) the Child Development Specialist (CDS) will develop and target child developmental goals and provide general support in communication domains. The incumbent will implement developmental activities and share general strategies for parent education.    Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour  Clinical Responsibilities and Essential Functions Provide one-to-one intervention, utilizing the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) early intervention program primarily in the home setting Enter all CDS goals no later than the 3rd session Follow the set therapy plan by targeting goals with consistency and fidelity (which will be reflected in the documentation) Consistently take data with a Kindle tablet in 15-20 min increments during a session Provide feedback to supervisor (SLP) regarding the consumer's progress, goal development, and need for new programming Communicate with the parents verbally and in writing the following: child development goals, progress, and education strategies. Communication must be documented in writing via the SOAP notes Create and assign parent education goals for each family under the supervision of the SLP Initiate opportunities to generalize learned skills Conduct developmental assessments (DAYC, etc.) Complete the CDS portions of the report and submit to the SLP on report due dates Review data and update all CDS goals every 8 to 10 weeks Provide parent education training on a weekly/monthly basis under 805 billing code.
