The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in North Bergen, NJ for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.Working with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing - not just staffing.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSActive RN license valid in New JerseyGraduate of an accredited ADN or BSN programCurrent BLS CPR/AED certificationKnowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulationsAbility to work independently and exercise clinical judgmentExperience working with a pediatric populationDiabetic monitoring, Asthmatic, Diabetics, Seizure monitoring, Medication administrationWHAT YOU'LL DOProvide first aid and manage everyday illnesses (headaches, stomachaches, injuries)Monitor students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies, mental health conditions) and implement routine and PRN medications and care per ordersVerify medical orders, document medication administration, and safely administer routine and PRN medicationsAct as the lead responder to medical emergencies on campusTrain staff on emergency protocols and equipment useDevelop and update IHPs (Individualized Healthcare Plans), IEPs (Individualized Education Plans), and 504 Plans related to medical conditions; participate in meetings as neededCollaborate with parents and school staff regarding students with medical needsConduct or assist with health screenings (vision, hearing, growth/BMI, blood pressure)Delegate and supervise nursing tasks in accordance with state regulationsWHY YOU'LL LOVE WORKING WITH USAt The Stepping Stones Group, we know that great outcomes for students start with supported, empowered clinicians.
