Make a big impact on a brand-new early learning pilot, on a part-time schedule.
SSG is launching ANCHOR Forward with BCPS, a brand-new pilot reimagining early learning classrooms for children birth to five at three schools. We are identifying uniquely skilled individuals to lead the work. As an Early Learning Pilot School-Based Consultant, you will be in classrooms every week, working side by side with teachers, watching young children grow, and shaping a model the district plans to bring to more schools. Your special education and classroom expertise makes you a natural fit, and this role lets you shape early learning across three schools.
Why you will love this role
  • Get in on the ground floor. Join a new program from day one, with a voice in how it grows.
  • Get insider access to cutting-edge tools before anyone else. You'll be mentored by SSG's systems leaders and product builders, launch new tools in real classrooms, and see your field insights built into what comes next.
  • See your impact. Watch classrooms transform over the school year, with the data to prove it.
  • Your ideas travel. What works at these three schools becomes the model for more schools across the district.
  • Do the work you love. Hands-on time in real classrooms with young children and the educators who teach them.
  • A team behind you. Join a national company with a deep clinical team of BCBAs, school psychologists, SLPs, and OTs.
  • Impact on your schedule. A steady part-time role for the full school year.
What your days look like
  • Coach teachers and paraprofessionals in real classrooms through modeling, practice, and real-time feedback
  • Design classroom environments, routines, and visual supports that help young children engage and learn
  • Strengthen IEP goals, co-teaching, and small-group instruction
  • Help teams support children with autism and complex behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs
  • Lead hands-on workshops and quick-turn consultations with school teams
  • Partner with school and district leaders, and bring family and staff voices into the work
  • Use classroom data to show progress and guide next steps
What you bring
  • Master's degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field
  • Active Maryland special education teaching certification (required)
  • Classroom experience in early childhood or early childhood special education
  • Strong knowledge of IEPs and play-based, inclusive instruction
  • Experience coaching or mentoring educators
