The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our full-time school-based team in Frederick, MD. As an LCPC, you will provide counseling services, behavioral support, crisis intervention, and consultation to students, families, and school staff. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Active Maryland Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license
- Fingerprints at district
- Experience providing counseling services to children and adolescents preferred
- School-based, pediatric, or behavioral health experience preferred
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral support strategies, and social-emotional learning practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges
- Conduct assessments and assist with the development of intervention and support plans
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Assist with developing social-emotional learning initiatives and behavioral support strategies
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school climate
