The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Certified CPI Trainer to deliver Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® (CPI) training for school staff in Richfield, MN during the 2026-2027 school year. This PRN (as-needed) opportunity supports a local school district and is ideal for experienced professionals who are passionate about creating safe, supportive learning environments and equipping educators with effective crisis prevention and de-escalation strategies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Active School Psychologist license/credential valid in Minnesota
- Graduate degree (Ed.S. or higher) from a NASP-approved or equivalent program
- PELSB
- Previous experience working in K-12 schools, educational settings, or behavioral health environments preferred
- Knowledge of crisis prevention, de-escalation techniques, and behavior intervention strategies
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Deliver CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention® training to school staff through both initial and refresher courses
- Teach evidence-based crisis prevention, de-escalation, and behavior management techniques
- Equip staff with strategies to effectively respond to and reduce escalating risk behaviors
- Facilitate hands-on learning in verbal intervention and nonrestrictive crisis response methods
- Train staff on appropriate crisis intervention practices, including restrictive interventions as a last resort
- Promote safer school environments by supporting best practices that reduce the need for restraint and seclusion
- Foster staff confidence in managing challenging behaviors and responding to crisis situations effectively
