What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education
  • Active Tennessee teaching certification/license with ESL endorsement
  • Spanish-speaking required
  • Open to varying levels of experience
  • Flexible, collaborative, and comfortable with co-teaching and shifting assignments

What You'll Do:

  • Plan and deliver individual and group ESL instruction tailored to student needs
  • Provide rigorous instruction aligned with Tennessee standards to accelerate English language acquisition
  • Maintain accurate student records in accordance with district and state requirements
  • Administer ELPA21 assessments and assist with TCAP testing as needed
  • Attend IEP and 504 meetings for qualifying students alongside special education staff
  • Serve as a liaison between families and schools regarding cultural and language-related matters
  • Monitor student progress and advocate for participation in school programs and activities
  • Participate in staff development opportunities to strengthen instructional practices
