The OpportunityWe are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Authorization & Eligibility Representative to join our A&E support team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will serve as a critical link between families seeking ABA services and the insurance and funding processes that make that care possible. You will play a meaningful role in ensuring that clients can access the support they need, quickly and without unnecessary barriers. What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Verifying insurance eligibility and coverage details for clients pursuing ABA therapy or ASD-related servicesPreparing and submitting authorization requests to health insurance companies, and tracking authorization status for all funding sources (insurance, regional center, school district, and private pay)Communicating clearly with families regarding their benefits, authorization status, and next stepsReviewing diagnostic reports and treatment plans against health plan criteria, and making recommendations when further evaluation is neededCollaborating with the clinical and billing teams to resolve authorization discrepancies and ensure accurate recordsManaging and distributing client enrollment packets, including coordination of benefits forms, service agreements, and privacy noticesMaintaining accurate client records in our practice management system (CentralReach), including contact information, payer details, and authorization entriesProviding general administrative support as needed, including answering phones, scanning, and filing What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when interacting with families navigating insurance processesExperience with health insurance verification, prior authorizations, or medical billing is a plusComfort working with electronic health record or practice management systems (CentralReach experience a bonus)A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a genuine commitment to supporting families affected by autismAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism Compensation & Schedule Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experienceSchedule: Part-time; flexible scheduling available Why Community Autism Services?
