The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our full-time school-based team in Marana, AZ. This rewarding opportunity allows you to support students in developing the functional, motor, sensory, and self-care skills needed to succeed in the classroom and everyday activities.
Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will play an essential role in helping students achieve greater independence and participate successfully in their educational environment.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active Arizona Occupational Therapy Assistant license
- Current NBCOT certification preferred
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Card
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings
- Support the development of fine motor, visual-motor, sensory, self-care, and functional life skills
- Document therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist with implementing classroom accommodations and therapeutic strategies
- Support the use of adaptive equipment and assistive technology as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
