Child Development Specialist

Job Description

Community Therapy Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is seeking a passionate and qualified Child Development Specialist to support young children and families through early intervention. If you're dedicated to early childhood development and ready to make a lasting impact, this role is for you!

Join Our Team: Child Development Specialist (CDS)
  Location: Antelope Valley, CA
 Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
 Part-time to start, with growth to full-time caseloads

 Position Overview
As a CDS, you'll deliver in-home and community-based services to infants and toddlers. You'll support developmental milestones and coach caregivers, working as a key partner in a child's growth journey.

 Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 early intervention using the Early Start Denver Model
  • Set, monitor, and adjust developmental goals in partnership with families
  • Collect and analyze session data to guide progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and attend team meetings
  • Support skill development in natural, everyday environments
  • Mentor and guide peers as needed
 
Professional Expectations
  • Maintain a professional appearance and communication style
  • Follow scheduling protocols and notify of changes promptly
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (required)
  • 2+ years of experience as a CDS or similar role
  • Fluent in English; bilingual skills a plus
  • Knowledge of early intervention principles and strategies
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Must have reliable transportation for travel across service areas
  • Able to pass background check and comply with HIPAA guidelines

Work Environment
