Role Overview 
As a Home & Community Behavior Technician, you'll deliver 1:1 ABA therapy to children in natural settings, including homes, schools, and community environments. You'll work under BCBA supervision to support skill development, behavior reduction, and meaningful progress-while adapting to different settings throughout your day. 
This role is ideal for individuals who value variety, independence, and building strong relationships with families and teams. 
 
What You'll Do 
  • Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy sessions under BCBA supervision 
  • Implement treatment plans in home, school, and community settings 
  • Use play-based and individualized strategies to engage children 
  • Collect accurate session data and progress notes 
  • Apply feedback and coaching to strengthen clinical skills 
  • Collaborate with families, school staff, and clinical supervisors 
  • Support skill generalization across environments 
  • Maintain safe, professional, and organized therapy sessions 
How Success Is Measured 
Success in this role is defined by: 
  • Consistent, compassionate engagement with children and families 
  • Reliability in attending sessions across assigned locations 
  • Accurate data collection and documentation 
  • Openness to feedback and ongoing learning 
  • Professionalism, flexibility, and communication 
Pay Range 
  • Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $28.00/hour (based on education and experience) 
Additional factors that may increase starting pay include: 
  • Prior experience working in ABA or related behavioral health settings 
  • Higher levels of education or relevant coursework 
  • Fluency in additional languages that support the families we serve 
  • Advanced certifications or specialized training (e.g., RBT certification)

Qualifications & Essential Job Functions 
  • Minimum age of 18 
  • High School diploma or GED required 
  • Ability to actively engage in child-centered play and therapeutic activities 
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including: 
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs 
  • Bending, kneeling, squatting, and transitioning between activities and locations 
  • Responding appropriately to challenging behaviors, which may include aggression, elopement, or self-injurious behaviors 
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel consistently within your assigned service region 
  • Valid driver's license and punctual attendance 
  • Comfort working across multiple settings (home, school, community) 
  • No prior ABA experience required - we train you 
Experience That Transfers Well 
  • Childcare or education (nanny, preschool teacher, tutor, paraprofessional) 
  • Special education, psychology, sociology, or related studies 
  • Mental health or human services roles 
  • Camp counselor, volunteer, or youth program experience
