Advanced Behavior Technician

Community Autism Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring immediately for Full-Time Advanced Behavior Technicians who possess the confidence to mentor new Behavior Technicians (ABA therapists) and substitute for school-district cases in the Lawndale, CA area. In this position, you will provide direct, face-to-face Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment services to children with autism in their home, school, or community settings, emphasizing our commitment to delivering state-of-the-art behavioral services.

Professional experience with children or special needs is a requirement, and this role guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Job Duties
  • Substituting cases or assignments daily as instructed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/clinical supervisor
  • Deliver direct Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment services to children diagnosed with autism, conducting sessions in various settings such as their homes, schools, or within the community.
  • Work under the guidance of a program supervisor, instructing clients on essential skills such as communication, play, socialization, and fostering greater independence. In addition, ABA Behavior Technicians assist in addressing challenging behaviors.
  • Duties also include collecting, organizing, and summarizing behavioral data related to the child's treatment goals.
  • 6-month commitment to consistent and dependable attendance, as well as responsive and timely communication, is essential to the role.

Requirements
  • Proof of high school diploma or BA/BS degree in Psychology, Education, or Special Education or related field. Candidates with incomplete degrees will be considered based on experience.
  • Professional experience with children or special needs is required
  • Must be open to school and home cases in order to build a full-time schedule
  • Able to commute up to 5-10 miles or 30-45 minutes 
  • Valid CA Driver's License and proof of auto liability insurance
  • Must have reliable transportation 
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
