Are you a dedicated Special Education Teacher passionate about supporting students with complex needs? The Stepping Stones Group is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher in Stamford, CT to support middle school students who are medically fragile, using adaptive equipment and AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) devices.

What You'll Do:
- Provide individualized instruction and support to middle school students with significant medical needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with families, specialists, and school staff.
- Lead and participate in IEP meetings.
- Utilize adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and AAC devices to support student communication and learning.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, school nurses, and therapists to promote inclusive learning environments.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
What We're Looking For:
- Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution (required).
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of Connecticut (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Special Education Teacher.
- Prior experience working with medically fragile students and using adaptive/AAC devices is strongly preferred.
