Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) - School Building Float

Job Description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Landover, Maryland for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time building floating support role providing a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Working with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing - not just staffing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Active LPN License in MD
  • BLS CPR/First Aid certification
  • Must have school-based experience
  • Must have experience working as a private duty nurse with pediatric patients
  • Must have Diabetic monitoring, Asthmatic, Diabetics, Seizure monitoring, Medication administration, Pediatrics, Trach, Vent, G-tubes experience

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist Building nurses with screenings/documentation review
  • Assist in providing first aid care and daily medication management
  • May rotate through different classrooms/buildings to administer medications and/or tube feedings, provide diabetic management, etc. to multiple students
  • May be assigned as a PDN for a child with medical needs such as diabetic management, seizure management or GT feedings
