Qualifications:

  • A graduate degree from a Social Work program
  • Michigan LARA licensure (LMSW required; LLMSW acceptable with LMSW supervision available) AND one of the following MDE School Social Worker credentials: 
    • School Social Worker Permit (preliminary permit; LLMSW or LMSW + enrolled in approved SSW prep program) 
    • Preliminary School Social Worker Certificate (PSSWC)
    • Professional School Social Worker Certificate 
    • School Social Worker Full Approval (legacy credential, pre-2014) 
    • Temporary MDE certification acceptable 
  • School-based social work experience preferred; experience with early childhood special education and behavioral interventions strongly preferred
