The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Paraprofessional to join our full-time school-based team in Minneapolis, MN. As a valued member of the educational team, you will work closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support students in achieving their individual learning goals. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or relevant educational experience preferred
- Para certified
- Previous Paraprofessional/school based experience working with children or students preferred
- Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral needs, or learning challenges is a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to students in general education and special education settings
- Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Implement teacher-directed instructional activities and interventions
- Support student engagement, participation, and independence throughout the school day
- Assist with classroom management and positive behavior support strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and families as needed
- Monitor student progress and document observations when required
- Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies
