The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our school-based team in Kent, WA. This full-time opportunity is ideal for professionals who are passionate about helping students improve mobility, independence, and participation in the educational setting while working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, you will support students with diverse physical needs and play an important role in helping them achieve their educational and developmental goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Current Washington State Physical Therapist Assistant license
  • Ability to work effectively with students with a variety of disabilities and developmental needs
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred

Work Environment

  • School-based setting serving students from preschool through age 21
  • May require assisting students with transfers, mobility, positioning, and use of specialized equipment
  • Frequent collaboration with special education staff and related service providers

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting students in educational settings
  • Knowledge of special education processes and IEP implementation
  • Familiarity with adaptive equipment, mobility supports, and inclusive educational practices
