The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Newark, NJ for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time Building Nurse role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.Compensation: $40-$45/hr + $1,000 sign-on bonusWorking with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing - not just staffing.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORActive Registered Nurse (RN) LicenseGraduate of an accredited ADN or BSN programCPR/First Aid certificationMust have experience with pediatric diabetic management and working with pediatric patients with trachsExperience with O2 monitoring, seizure monitoring, med pass, G-tubes, diabetic management preferredKnowledge of nurse delegation practices and state scope-of-practice regulationsAbility to work independently and exercise clinical judgmentWHAT YOU'LL DOProvide first aid and manage everyday illnesses (headaches, stomachaches, injuries, etc.)Monitor students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, seizures, allergies, mental health conditions, etc.) and follow orders to implement routine and PRN meds/careVerify medical orders, document medication administration, safely administer medications (routine and PRN)Will act as the lead response to medical emergencies on campusTrain staff in emergency protocols and use of equipment.Develop and update IHP's (Individualized Healthcare Plans), IEP's (Individualized Education Plans) and 504 Plans related to medical conditions. Participate in meetings when needed.
