What You'll Do As a Billing Specialist, you'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for billing and accounts receivable across our nationwide behavioral health services. You'll manage daily invoicing, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely collections with professionalism and care. Key Responsibilities - Serve as a primary contact for customers, therapists, clinical managers, and account executives on billing issues. - Perform daily accounts receivable (A/R) invoicing and post transactions in the billing system. - Research and resolve payment discrepancies; communicate with customers as needed. - Manage customer outreach to collect outstanding balances and reconcile disputes. - Run weekly aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts. - Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time. - Contribute to process improvement projects across the billing function. - Complete other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring - Education & Experience: Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Experience: 3+ years in Accounting, with emphasis on A/R and Collections preferred. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. - Experience with Waystar required. - Familiarity with Kronos or Great Plains preferred. - Professional Skills: - Strong communication and customer service abilities. - Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
