AAC Specialist

Job Description

Help Students Find Their Voice and Empower Communication

At The Stepping Stones Group, communication is more than a skill. It's the foundation for connection, learning, and independence. We partner with schools nationwide to help students access meaningful communication through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. We're currently welcoming full-time, school-based AAC Specialists to our growing team in Elk Grove, CA.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct AAC evaluations and recommend communication solutions
  • Implement individualized AAC support plans
  • Collaborate with students, families, and school teams
  • Monitor progress and adjust supports as needed
  • Empower students to communicate confidently and participate fully in school and daily life

What You Bring:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Assistive Technology, or a related field 
  • CCC-SLP through ASHA preferred
  • AAC certification is required
  • Active state licensure
  • Experience with AAC evaluations, devices, and communication strategies
  • A passion for helping students succeed
