We invest in our BCBAs through strong clinical leadership, responsive support, and meaningful interactive opportunities. Whether you're supervising a handful of RBTs or building toward a larger caseload, SSG is built to support your path.

The SSG Experience

What working as an RBT Supervisor at SSG looks like:

Compensation

We believe in transparency and compensation that scales with your caseload.

  • Stipend-based compensation, including:
    • $250 per RBT per month (typical rate)
    • Hourly compensation arrangement considered for caseloads of approximately 20 or more RBTs
    • Compensation grows as your caseload grows, from your starting caseload up to your self-stated maximum
    • Access to SSG's exclusive clinical content and resources

Schedule & Structure

  • In-person supervision required during the school day — virtual supervision during school hours is not permitted by the district
  • On-site presence for all supervision hours is preferred
  • Optional virtual 1:1 or group supervision outside of school day hours to supplement in-person supervision (permitted, not preferred)
  • Each BCBA's caseload starts small and grows gradually to approximately 5–20 RBTs, based on program need, for an estimated total of 30–40 RBTs across the team
  • Average RBT schedule has historically been approximately 6 hours per day

Clinical Support That Actually Shows Up

  • Direct access to responsive, supportive clinical leadership
  • Meaningful interactive opportunities and access to exclusive SSG content
  • Collaboration with your Program Manager throughout onboarding and beyond

Your Growth Path

  • Mentorship and support from SSG's Program Manager and clinical leadership
  • Opportunity to grow your caseload toward the higher end of the 5–20 RBT range as program need increases

Role Overview

This role is strictly for RBT supervision. As an RBT Supervisor at SSG, you'll ensure RBTs on assignment in their school district remain compliant with BACB certification requirements by providing the required 5% supervision and completing competency assessments through the end of the 2026–2027 school year.

This role does not provide programmatic supervision and is not assigned to student programs, IEPs, individual students, or a clinical caseload. It does not collect treatment data and does not make changes to treatment plans. Meetings with RBTs are strictly to fulfill their required 5% observation requirement each month.

What You'll Do

  • Provide RBT-focused supervision only — this role does not include programmatic supervision, IEP involvement, or management of a clinical caseload
  • Meet in person with each RBT at minimum weekly while they apply ABA strategies with their student, ensuring effective practices and compliance with BACB standards
  • Facilitate at least one small-group meeting per month with assigned RBTs, held outside of classroom time and without the student present, to review ABA strategies and interventions, RBT task list items, professional and ethical compliance guidelines, and the RBT handbook
  • Complete RBT competency assessments in accordance with BACB requirements
  • Meet regularly with RBTs to ensure the required minimum 5% supervision is being met
  • Monitor and document supervision hours to support ongoing BACB compliance
  • Maintain regular communication with SSG clinical and program leadership regarding RBT progress and any compliance concerns

How Success Is Measured

  • RBTs maintain compliance with BACB certification requirements
  • Competency assessments are completed on schedule
  • Consistent, well-documented in-person supervision hours
  • Strong collaboration with RBTs and the SSG program team
  • Professionalism, reliability, and follow-through

Qualifications

  • Current certification as a BCBA
  • Must have completed the 8-hour supervision course
  • School experience preferred
