Mental Health Associate – Wraparound Services Community-Based Role | Long Beach, CAJob Type: Part-Time Pay Range: $27.50–$32.50/hour Position Overview: ERA Ed, a Division of The Stepping Stones Group, is seeking a mission-driven and compassionate Mental Health Associate (MHA) to provide individualized, field-based, Wraparound mental health services to children, adolescents and families in Long Beach, CA.This is an excellent opportunity for pre-licensed clinicians seeking hands-on experience, meaningful client relationships, and support toward BBS licensure through paid supervision and structured training. The ideal candidate is an Associate-level clinician (AMFT, ACSW, or APCC) who is passionate about supporting youth and families in school, home, and community settings. This position plays a vital role in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to building stability and resilience in underserved communities. Mental Health Associates will participate in a yearlong clinical training program, while working with diverse caseloads under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Services are delivered in-person and via telehealth, depending on client needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver Individualized Counseling Services: Provide strengths-based, culturally responsive therapeutic interventions to youth and families in school, home, and community settings. Services may include individual therapy, family counseling, and parent support, tailored to each family's needs and treatment goals. Facilitate Family Engagement and Parenting Support: Build rapport and foster trust with caregivers to increase engagement in the therapeutic process. Deliver psychoeducation, coaching, and behavior support strategies to parents and caregivers in a non-judgmental and collaborative manner. Provide Crisis Intervention and Risk Assessments: Respond promptly to urgent client needs, including safety planning and de-escalation. Conduct risk assessments related to suicidality, self-injury, and harm to others, and follow mandated reporting procedures as needed. Participate in IEP/504 Planning and School Collaboration: Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as appropriate. Maintain active communication with school teams, including special education staff, to support students with emotional or behavioral challenges. Maintain Clinical Documentation: Complete all required documentation in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This includes assessments, treatment plans, session progress notes, and collateral contact notes in accordance with agency standards and regulatory guidelines. Coordinate Care and Foster Community Linkages: Work closely with Wraparound team members, school personnel, and external service providers to ensure a coordinated, comprehensive approach to care. Provide families with referrals to appropriate community resources as needed. Participate in Supervision and Ongoing Training: Attend weekly group and individual supervision to support licensure and clinical growth. Participate in a yearlong training program that includes modules on DSM-5-TR, legal/ethical practices, crisis intervention, and evidence-based strategies. The Stepping Stones Group is hiring a HYBRID Board Certified Behavior Analysts for RBT supervision in Long Beach, CA!The Stepping Stones Group provides you with unparalleled support and surrounds you with responsive and supportive clinical leaders. Qualifications: Must have active BCBA licensure.One year of experience as a BCBA, preferred.Must have taken BACB supervision course.Candidates with experience providing group and virtual supervision preferred, but experience with both is not required.School experience preferred Duties/Job Responsibilities: In accordance with BACB guidelines, BCBAs will be providing virtual and hybrid supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) that are on assignment in Long Beach, CA.Hours: Hours will vary depending on the number of RBTs the BCBA is willing to supervise. Supervision layout could be as follows, but will be up to BCBA to work out:Week 1: 1:1 virtual supervision with student during school hours (providing feedback, supporting RBT with implementation of the behavior support plan, etc.) Week 2: 1:1 virtual supervision during school and group supervision after school (without the student present)Week 3: virtual or in-person supervision during schoolWeek 4: virtual supervision during school and group supervision after school (without the student present)Each month, the BCBA will meet with the RBTs at least once in a small group format to review Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and interventions, task list items, professional and ethical compliance guidelines, and the RBT handbook. This meeting will be held outside of classroom time and without the student.Once a week, the BCBA will meet with each RBT individually while they apply ABA strategies with their student to ensure effective practices and compliance with the BACB standards.BCBA and RBTs will meet regularly to ensure that they are meeting the required minimum 5% supervision required by the BACB.Compensation: BCBA will receive a stipend - $250.00 per RBT per month. BCBA - RBT Supervisors will not be eligible for benefits.
