The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our full-time school-based team in Temecula, CA. This rewarding opportunity allows you to support students' emotional well-being, behavioral health, and academic success while helping create a positive and supportive learning environment.
As an LMFT, you will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to address social-emotional challenges, provide therapeutic support, and help students develop the skills needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Active California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license with a PPS credential
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred
- School-based, behavioral health, or pediatric experience preferred
- Knowledge of social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral intervention strategies
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Conduct assessments and help develop intervention plans to support student success
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and support staff to address student needs
- Support social-emotional learning initiatives and positive behavioral interventions
- Participate in IEP, 504, MTSS, and student support team meetings as appropriate
- Assist families in accessing school and community-based resources
- Maintain timely documentation, case notes, treatment records, and compliance requirements
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
