The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our full-time school-based team in Frederick, MD. This rewarding opportunity allows you to support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs while helping them achieve success both in and out of the classroom.
As an LCSW, you will work collaboratively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to address barriers to learning, provide therapeutic support, and promote positive social-emotional development. Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Active Maryland Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C or LCSW) license
- Fingerprints at district
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred
- School-based, behavioral health, or pediatric experience preferred
- Knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral support strategies, and social-emotional learning practices
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges
- Conduct assessments and assist in developing intervention and support plans
- Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners to support student success
- Connect students and families with school and community-based resources
- Support social-emotional learning initiatives and positive behavioral interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, student support teams, and educational planning
- Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and compliance records
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment
