Flint Public Schools is hiring Paraprofessionals to work directly alongside teachers, supporting students who need extra encouragement, structure, and belief in what they can achieve. What You'll Do
- Work directly with classroom teachers to support instruction for individuals and small groups
- Help implement lesson plans, learning activities, and behavior support strategies
- Provide one-on-one support to students with diverse learning needs, including IEP-supported students
- Monitor and document student progress, and communicate observations to the classroom teacher
- Assist with classroom management, transitions, and day-to-day operations
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every student
What You'll Need
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree (60+ college credits, official transcripts required per school-district guidelines) or a valid Michigan Paraprofessional Certification
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their academic and social-emotional growth
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- School-based or classroom experience preferred, but not required
- Patience, reliability, and a team-first mindset
