This is a full-time, private duty/1:1 nurse position supporting a medically involved student.Working with The Stepping Stones Group means consistent pay, clinical backing from experienced nurses, and support from a team that understands school-based nursing, not just staffing.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Active LPN License in Rhode IslandCurrent BLS CPR/AED certificationPediatric experience requiredDemonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student, including seizure management/rescue meds, Tube feedings, Oxygen and airway management, Medication administration, lifts, toileting and hearing aid careMust be comfortable with replacing GT independently if neededAbility to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practiceCompassionate, clinically strong nurse with experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients and the ability to confidently provide independent nursing care in a school environmentPreferred: School-based nursing experienceWHAT YOU'LL DOMaintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school dayAdminister daily G-tube feed; Will be responsible for assessing area, checking placement, implementing any orders for feedings/medications, provide PRN GT/GJ-T care.Daily medication, toileting, lift from wheelchair, rotation of AFO splints, emergency medication for seizure disorder, care of hearing aids, and support with educational needsCommunicate significant status changes to family, school staff, and clinical leadershipMaintain accurate and timely documentationHelp maintain a safe, health focused school environmentDaily attendance is extremely important for this student.
