National Facilities Director

Job Description

Title: National Facilities Director 
Location: Remote  
Compensation: $80,000-$120,000
Reports to: Director, Support Operations
 
Mission  
  • Guarantee safe, functional, and welcoming environments nationwide that support exceptional therapeutic care for children and families
 
Outcome Measures 
  • Robust center expansion leadership
    • Oversee tenant fit out work for all new centers
      • Ensure 90% of new centers per year meet 90% of timeline milestones
      • Complete 100% of tenant fit out within 10% of original budget and on or before scheduled open date 
    • Provide input on facility design to align with operational and branding needs
      • Ensure 100% of new centers incorporate approved design standards aligned with brand and operational guidelines 
      • Conduct post-launch design evaluations with 90% positive feedback from local teams
    • Construction expertise for facilities and outdoor playground
      • Complete all construction projects with 5% deviation from planned budget and timeline
  • Excellent center and office management
    • Oversee Facilities Manager to ensure we are consistently meeting response turnaround times
      • 90% of emergency issues resolved in 48 hours
      • 90% of urgent issues resolved within 5 business days 
      • 90% of facilities maintenance requests receive a determination on action within 2 weeks
    • Build a Facility Standards SOP by November 1, 2025 and revise annually
    • Ensure each facility receives at least 1 physical onsite audit annually; maintain a tracker that shows progress

Responsibilities 
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Attend and contribute to 100% of project planning meetings with project managers, clinical leads, and IT
  • Ensure rapid response to facility needs: prioritize and address facility issues and maintenance with urgency, professionalism and consistency
  • Facility maintenance & safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety and accessibility standards 
  • Vendor & contractor management: Promptly coordinate with external contractors for facility maintenance, cleaning, security and other needs. Promptly work with finance partners to process vendor payment 
  • Compliance & regulatory oversight: Guarantee facilities meet federal, state and local regulations related to health, safety and accessibility
  • Emergency preparedness: Develop and oversee emergency procedures, including evacuation plans, disaster recovery, and crisis management
  • Provide construction estimates to support decision-making around future pipeline sites
  • Own and organize all leases and required regulatory documents (COIs, tax forms, etc), with monthly reporting to the Finance Department
  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies (as they pertain to our facilities) and property managers / landlords 
    1. Liaise with legal partners as necessary
  • Procure new facilities vendors (plumbers, electricians, etc) within 30 days of identified need 
  • Forecast long-term capital needs for facility upgrades or replacements 
  • Budget and financial reconciliation management
    1. Submit 100% of quarterly financial reconciliations on time
    2. Maintain 5% variance between forecasted and actual spending 
 
Job Qualifications 
 
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in facilities, project management, lease negotiations and/or commercial construction buildout oversight highly desired
