Associate-level clinicians, this one's for you. Paying for supervision toward full licensure can cost thousands of dollars. At The Stepping Stones Group, it's included. You'll get weekly supervision from supervisors who are clinicians first, building your hours toward full licensure without ever getting a bill for it.
The Impact You'll Make
You'll help a struggling student find their voice again. You'll partner with teachers and parents to find out what's blocking a child's success, and you'll build interventions for real students facing real challenges. Your clinical skill and warmth will change how students see themselves and how school communities approach mental wellness.
What You'll Do
- Deliver direct mental health support: individual and group counseling for emotional, behavioral and social challenges, plus crisis intervention when students need it most
- Build collaborative partnerships: work with educators, parents and administrators on support plans that actually work
- Design tailored interventions: evidence-based strategies such as CBT, trauma-informed care and play therapy
- Champion inclusion and belonging: help create a school climate where every student feels seen and supported
- Document with purpose: keep clinical notes and treatment plans that meet regulatory standards and track student outcomes
What You'll Bring
- A current NC license: LCSW, LCMHC or LMFT, or an associate license (LCSWA, LCMHCA, LMFTA). Associates are strongly encouraged to apply, since supervision is on us.
- A master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or a related field
- School-based or student-population experience (preferred)
- Comfort with crisis assessment, treatment planning and evidence-based modalities
- A real passion for student success
