What You'll Do 

As a Billing Specialist, you'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for billing and accounts receivable across our nationwide behavioral health services. You'll manage daily invoicing, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely collections with professionalism and care. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • - Serve as a primary contact for customers, therapists, clinical managers, and account executives on billing issues. 

  • - Perform daily accounts receivable (A/R) invoicing and post transactions in the billing system. 

  • - Research and resolve payment discrepancies; communicate with customers as needed. 

  • - Manage customer outreach to collect outstanding balances and reconcile disputes. 

  • - Run weekly aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts. 

  • - Partner cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time. 

  • - Contribute to process improvement projects across the billing function. 

  • - Complete other duties as assigned. 


What You'll Bring 

  • - Education & Experience: Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • - Experience: 3+ years in Accounting, with emphasis on A/R and Collections preferred. 

  • - Technical Skills: 

  • - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. 

  • - Experience with Waystar required. 

  • - Familiarity with Kronos or Great Plains preferred. 

  • - Professional Skills: 

  • - Strong communication and customer service abilities. 

  • - Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented. 

  • - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Physical Requirements: 

  • - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. 

  • - Regular use of hands, wrists, and fingers. 

  • - Visual acuity for document and computer work. 

  • - Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
