Business Intelligence Analyst 


Reports to: Senior Director of Finance 

Location: Remote with 10% travel as needed 

Job Type: Full-time, salaried 

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000

Your work will help architect the data infrastructure of a mission-driven organization. 

 

Outcomes 

  • Within the First 90 days Deliver 5 Core Use Cases with Repeatable Datasets
    • Partner with business stakeholders to define, build, and automate delivery of high-impact datasets and dashboards that address key business questions. Initial use cases include: 
      • Supervisor-level and office-level gross margin tracking 
      • Client and Provider Cancellations by program and service setting 
      • Billable and Non-billable hours by service code by program and service setting 
      • Contract Utilization by program and service setting 
      • Executive dataset tracking average daily census, hours, and revenue by program and time period (day/week/month) 
  • Within the First 180 days Develop Data Governance for CAS: 
    • Defined data owners for at least 90% of key CAS datasets 
    • Document source of truth for at least 10 core metrics used across dashboards and reports 
    • Create a standardized data request and change management workflow 
  • In the First Year Ensure CAS Data is Integrated into the Enterprise Data Warehouse: 
    • Serve as the CAS point of contact to partner with IT and data engineering teams to validate that CAS data within SmartSearchDOMO, Central Reach, and Kronos is integrated in the company-wide data warehouse. 
  • Deliver 95% of prioritized datasets and reports requested by business stakeholders by the end of the first year: 
    • Document and categorize all incoming data/reporting requests in partnership with business leaders 
    • Prioritize requests based on impact, urgency, and alignment with organizational goals 
    • Establish timelines and track progress toward completion for each request 
    • Publish finalized datasets and dashboards to appropriate stakeholders 
    • Maintain and refresh reports regularly to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance

Responsibilities  

  • Own CAS data strategy and integration planning in alignment with broader enterprise data initiatives. 
  • Collaborate with IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors to support the development and optimization of the organization's data infrastructure. 
  • Become an expert in data inputs from key systems (Central Reach, ConCred, Kronos, Great Plains, SmartSearch) 
  • Create procedures to establish data ownership, source of truth, data standards, flow of data and dissemination of data, and change management processes  
  • Understand the business data needs and translate business requirements into technical requirements  
  • Create visualizations and reports that track changes in the organization's performance, client reception, or staff retention 
  • Work with stakeholders to replace manual tracking (e.g., Excel files, ad hoc reports) with centralized dashboards and automated reporting solutions. 
  • Partner with corporate team to evaluate the use AI/LLM tools to support data summarization, workflow automation, or dashboard enhancements. 
  • Utilize data and reports to explore potential improvement areas within work processes 
  • Present data, reports, and findings to a diverse group of stakeholders  
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure proper operation of the organizations data system 
  • Audit data system performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as required 

Education/Certifications Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, computer engineering, or related field. 
  • Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in data architecture, data informatics, performance measurement, or analysis with strong relational database SQL skills. Previous experience in healthcare preferred.
